An experience amongst Valencian orange trees

In 1781, the first orange orchard was planted in Carcaixent, and it was a great success. The climatic conditions in the area were excellent, so the oranges harvested that year were of high quality, size, and flavor. An original plan in Valencia is to visit a century-old orchard belonging to several generations of the same family in Carcaixent, the birthplace of the orange. It's a one-day proposal where you can stroll among fruit trees, taste local products, and immerse yourself in the history of the place

• Explanation of cultivation methods, varieties and the Valencian citrus-growing tradition.
• Picking and tasting of seasonal citrus fruits.
• Visit to the fruit sorting and preparation warehouse.
• Tasting of typical Valencian products and artisanal specialities.
